To perform a "Part History" search by code, select Parts from
the Main Menu. From the drop down menu, select Part History.
Select by Code from the submenu. The Select Part search list is
displayed. Select the part you wish to perform the history search on. The Date Range dialogue is displayed.
Leaving the date fields blank is
the normal method for the search, however, if you are performing the search on a
fast moving part, engine oil for example, date confinement may be advisable due
to the vast number of invoices that may be returned. Date confinement is very
useful for generating monthly reports on various parts sold. Click Ok or press Enter to start the search. G-E
will search the files and return the Part History list that match your search criteria.
The listing "Header" shows the part code the search was performed on. The Model
is shown as either "Global" if the part is a global part or the model name if
the part is model specific. The part description is shown as it is listed in the
part file. The period shows the search dates, if these were allocated, or will
simply show "All" if there is no date confinement.
The list shows the
invoice entries the part was sold on. The "Date" column shows the date the
invoice was finalised. This is followed by the invoice number. The "Quantity"
column shows the quantity of the part sold on the invoice. The "Price" column
shows the price the part was sold for on the invoice followed by the total. The
"Client" column shows the client's name that the invoice was written to. At the
bottom of the "Quantity" and "Total" columns, the sum of the lists are
calculated and shown.
Highlight the entry you wish to view. Open the
invoice for viewing by clicking View Invoice, pressing Enter or double clicking the entry. Clicking Print will send the list to the printer. Clicking Quit or pressing Esc exits the list.
