Sublet Work is treated as a global part and is stored in the global library by
default. Sublet Work has its own category as experience has shown that two
sublet work jobs are rarely the same price, so no price is stored for the item.
When a Sublet Work item is called into a work order, you enter the price for the
item when it is added to the work order. To add a new Sublet Work item
to the system, select Parts from the Main Menu. From the drop
down menu, select New Sublet Work. The New Sublet Work dialogue
is
displayed.
Enter a suitable search code which you will use to find this
Sublet Work item in the Code field. (Remember the code
structure discussed in Parts
System Overview).
Enter the description for this Sublet Work in the
Description field. The text you enter here will be printed on
invoices exactly as it appears here.
Enter any notes about this item into
the Notes field. This could be a company name, contact, phone
number etc.
Click Ok or press Enter
to save the Sublet Work item. Click Cancel or press Esc at any time to abort the procedure without saving any
information.
Calling a sublet work item into a work order is the
same as for any global part. When the sublet work item has been selected, G-E
presents the Sublet Cost dialogue. Enter the price excluding GST into the Sublet
Cost dialogue and press Enter or click Ok. G-E carries the Sublet Work item into the work
order at the entered price and adds GST to the price.
