Load Kit / Code is used to open an existing kit for editing. Any kits created
and saved from a work order or created with the New Kit utility appears in the
list. The list contains all kits in the system, both Model Specific
and Global.
To load an existing kit for editing by code, select Utilities from the Main Menu. Select Kit from
the drop down menu. Select Load Kit / Code from the kit's
submenu. A listing of all kits is presented in the Select
Kit list, sorted by their respective codes.
Type the code for the kit you require into the "Type initial letters to search" text box. Highlight the kit you require and click Ok. Alternatively, double click the entry.
The kit opens in the Edit Kit dialogue with all the information that was entered into the kit when it was created or last saved. Edit the kit as required and select Save Kit to save the changes.
Note:
The
code field in the Edit Kit dialogue can be changed. If the code
is changed, the kit will be saved as anew entry in the library.
The original kit you opened for editing will remain in the system.
This is useful if you wish to create a new kit which is very similar
to a kit already in the library.
If the Model field is changed,
the kit will be saved in the Model Specific library you specify
in the Model field. Again, this is useful if you wish to save a
similar kit in a different model library.
