Kits are complete work orders "ready to go". They are particularly useful for repetitive jobs and with their use, a complete invoice can be created with only a few mouse clicks (or keystrokes).

A kit stores all the parts, labour, sublet work, other revenue and invoice text as required for the job. The parts prices are obtained from the files when the kit is "called". This ensures the latest parts prices etc are used.

When a kit is "called" into a work order, any item can be edited. The kit becomes a work order with full work order functionality. Parts and text can be added, removed and edited if required. You have full control before finalising the work order.

A kit can be called into a work order at any time. It can be used on it's own to create the work order or called to supplement a current work order. Eg. You may have a job which consists of repairing the exhaust and replacing a timing belt on a vehicle. You can prepare the work order for the exhaust repair then call a kit for the timing belt to supplement the work order.

Kits can be created from scratch using the Utilities > Kit > New Kit option, but to "kill a bird with one stone", a work order can be saved as a kit. Any kits created from a work order can be edited here if required in the Utilities > Kit menu.
