G-E can have any number of "labour accounts". Each technician in the workshop has their own labour account and identification. (The ID is usually just their initials). Each labour account can have different charge out rates. You may wish to charge less per hour for a new apprentice. Using the account IDs, G-E can track and report the performance of each technician.
